Nail Blossoms

NAIL Blossoms are a fun and exciting way to create an instant work of Art!  All it takes is Nail Blossom s, Stik 'Em Brush On Resin, Tweezers and a sheet of plastic, add this to  your acrylic product create a v ery unique and fashionable nail.

Step 1 - Use normal preparation techniques (etch, dehydrate and primer nails).  Use StylEnvy specially design wood diamond shaped file to help prep and shape.  This file is excellent for shaping natural nail free-edges and for acrylic detail filing in the nail groove area.

Step 2
- Create an Base with Clear Product. (Pictured is a sculpted nail with StylEnvy Clear Powder) You can use a tip and overlay a small amount over the nail plate to join together the tip and nail plate.

Step 3A - Your flowers should have a flat appearance in the back after removing fragments of the stem.
Step 3 - Prepare your flowers.  (This is a very important part of the application)  With your tweezers gently remove part of the stem that is attached to the back of the flowers.  Some pedals might also be removed as you do this, don't worry Nail Blossoms have plenty of pedals, so losing a few will not take away from the final appearance.

Step 4
- First apply Stik'Em Brush On Resin to desired area for your flower design. (Note apply resin in a large enough area to cover the extension of the Nail Blossom flower.  Any excess resin will dissolve into the acrylic later in procedure.)  Use your tweezers and place the flower directly over the resin.

Step 5 - Use plastic sheet to flatten flower.  Stretch out plastic sheet over both the nail and Nail Blossom Flower.

Step 5a - Wrap plastic sheet over the both the Nail Blossom Flower and nail.  Once the nail is wrapped, use your finger and press down directly on top of the Nail Blossom Flower and hold down for 3-7 seconds. Lift plastic and flower should be flattened if not repeat this step if necessary.

Important Side notes:
  • Do not use regular nail glue to apply flowers.  Regular nail glue dries in approximately 3-5 seconds.  This will harden and dry the flower before you are able to flatten down the flower.  This will result in the flowers creating a thick nail.
  • Use Stik'Em Brush On Resin, this resin is designed to dry in approximately 12 - 15 seconds this allows you time to set the flower, wrap and press down the Nail Blossom Flowers to flatten.  These flowers are paper thin and when you flatten them you create an ideal setting for thin nails.
  • Test different types of plastics almost any type of plastic will work to flatten down your flowers.  If you purchased a Nail Blossoms Wheel a sample sheet will come inside of the box.  This bag is a little on the thick side but it still works excellent.
  • While pressing down on top of the flower over the top of plastic (as shown picture 5a) the plastic will act as a barrier between your finger and the resin, this resin will not stick to the plastic.

Step 6 - Apply Acrylic over Nail Blossom flowers.
Once your Nail Blossom Flowers have been placed, flatten and secured use StylEnvy Clear Acrylic Powder

Step 7 - File and Shap Nail.
Once the acrylic dries and hardens.  Use StylEnvy Pro Washable Zebra File (150/100) to file and shape nail to desire look.

Step 8 - Buff Nails.  Use StylEnvy Pro Buffer and remove scratch marks from the nail.  This buffer has two individual sides (220/280) and is designed with a foam cushion for flexibility to wrap around the nails (image 8) and blend sections together while creating a smooth silky finish.  Top Coats will stick and work better with this extra smooth finish.

Finish Nails with StylEnvy Top Coat.

If you are using clear powder with your design.  Apply topcoat to the underside of the nail.  This will give more clarity to the nail in addition to making colors "pop" in the nail.
